Legal
Terms of Service
These Terms govern access to and use of P.A.C.E. by Medlock, a product of Medlock Music Technologies. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms.
Effective date: September 6, 2026
Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 13 years old and legally able to agree to these Terms. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, a parent or legal guardian must review and consent to your use where required by law.
You are responsible for providing accurate account information, protecting your credentials, and all activity occurring through your account. Do not share passwords or secret credentials.
The service
P.A.C.E. provides browser-based pitch detection, isolated-note and likely-chord estimates, lyric and songwriting tools, practice-session measurements, private Repertoire import and analysis, AI-generated coaching, saved history, and subscription features. Features may change as the product develops.
AI-generated coaching and musical measurements may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for a particular performer. Use your own judgment. P.A.C.E. is an educational practice tool and is not a substitute for an in-person music teacher, hearing professional, physician, or other qualified professional.
Subscriptions and billing
Paid plans renew automatically at the price and interval displayed during checkout until canceled. Stripe processes payments and provides the hosted billing portal. You authorize recurring charges when purchasing a subscription.
Plan features and usage limits are described on the Membership page. Current paid offerings include P.A.C.E. Plus and P.A.C.E. Pro. The price, allowance, renewal interval, and features shown during checkout apply to the subscription you select. We may change future plan pricing or features with reasonable notice before an affected renewal where required.
Cancellations and refund requests are governed by our Refund and Cancellation Policy.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Break laws, infringe intellectual-property or privacy rights, or upload audio you do not have permission to use.
- Attempt to access another user's account or data.
- Reverse engineer, disrupt, overload, probe, scrape, or bypass service security or usage limits.
- Use the service to distribute malware, fraudulent content, harassment, or other harmful material.
- Resell or commercially exploit the service without written permission.
Your content and permissions
You retain ownership of audio and information you submit. You grant us limited permission to process that content as needed to operate, secure, support, and improve the service, work with the providers described in our Privacy Policy, and generate the audio, notation, coaching, and other features you request.
You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit any recording or other content you provide.
You may use output created for you by the service subject to these Terms and applicable law. Similar or identical output may be generated for other users, and AI output may not qualify for intellectual-property protection in every jurisdiction. You are responsible for reviewing output before publishing or relying on it.
Our intellectual property
The P.A.C.E. product, software, interface, branding, documentation, and original materials are owned by or licensed to Medlock Music Technologies. These Terms do not transfer ownership of the service or its intellectual property to you.
Third-party services
The service relies on third-party platforms including Supabase, OpenAI, Modal, Stripe, Cloudflare, Resend, Twilio when enabled, and Vercel. Their services may be subject to separate terms, policies, outages, or limitations that we do not control.
Availability and termination
We may modify, suspend, limit, or discontinue all or part of the service for maintenance, security, legal, operational, or business reasons. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or create risk for the service or others.
Canceling a subscription through Manage Billing does not automatically delete your account or saved information. A subscription scheduled to cancel at the end of its billing period remains active until that period ends.
During self-service account deletion, you may explicitly authorize P.A.C.E. to cancel an unfinished Stripe subscription immediately. Immediate cancellation ends paid access at once, stops future renewal, and does not automatically provide a refund or credit for unused subscription time, except where required by law.
Account deletion removes your active private Repertoire uploads and generated results along with your saved P.A.C.E. account data. Limited records or backup copies may be kept where needed for billing, taxes, security, disputes, legal compliance, or ordinary provider backup rotation.
Disclaimers and liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of uninterrupted availability, accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Medlock Music Technologies will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, loss of data, loss of profits, or harm resulting from reliance on AI coaching or musical measurements.
Governing law and general terms
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arkansas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except to the extent the law where you live requires otherwise. Nothing in these Terms removes consumer rights that cannot lawfully be waived.
If a provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and the Refund and Cancellation Policy form the agreement governing the service.
Changes and contact
We may revise these Terms by posting an updated version and changing the effective date.
