About P.A.C.E.

Practice at your pace. Progress with purpose.

P.A.C.E. by Medlock is a Personalized AI Coaching Engine, built by Medlock Music Technologies to combine real-time listening, musical measurement, a purpose-built practice workspace, practice history, and personalized musical AI coaching.

Our Purpose

Most people do not quit music because they hate playing or lose interest in it, they quit because they don't know what to do next, and it takes too long to feel musical.

P.A.C.E. exists to shorten the distance between picking up an instrument and experiencing real, noticeable musical progress.

The Problem

Musicians are often left to figure out practice alone.

Access to information is not the same as having direction. Players can find thousands of exercises, videos, and backing tracks while still having no clear idea what they should do during today's practice session.

01

Backing tracks can feel static

Traditional backing tracks repeat the same musical environment without reacting to how the player is performing.

02

Lessons can feel like work

Typical lessons often feel like another assignment instead of an enjoyable, creative reason to pick up an instrument.

03

Starting is often the hardest part

Before practice even begins, musicians must decide what to play, what to improve, and how to structure the session.

04

The next goal is unclear

Many players have no idea what their next practice goal should be or which skill would create the most progress.

The P.A.C.E. Solution

A coach that helps answer: what should I do next?

P.A.C.E. is designed to remove the uncertainty that causes practice sessions to stall. Instead of simply providing more content, it helps the musician choose a direction, listen closely, respond to feedback, and continue progressing.

The goal is not to replace human creativity or great teachers. It is to provide musicians with useful guidance during the many hours they practice on their own.

A general AI conversation can explain a musical idea. P.A.C.E. goes further by connecting the conversation to live pitch measurements, Note Detection for isolated notes and likely chords, rhythm practice, TAB and Staff, backing tracks, Lyrics and Songwriting Tools with user-approved Coach revisions, Repertoire looping, transposition, stem separation, audio-to-TAB / Staff translation, saved objectives, and a Coach that remembers the musician and can open and operate the relevant practice workspace on request.

01

A clear next step

P.A.C.E. helps turn an open-ended practice session into one focused and achievable goal.

02

Feedback while it matters

Real-time listening, live note or likely-chord estimates, and measured practice results provide guidance while the musician is still actively practicing.

03

Practice that feels musical

The coach focuses on playable exercises, real musical application, and small wins instead of endless drills.

04

Progress with direction

Saved sessions and personalized coaching help musicians understand what improved and what to work on next.

More Than Information

P.A.C.E. follows a learning path, not an endless library.

A musician can already find millions of lessons online. The harder problem is knowing which fundamentals matter for their exact instrument, what must come before the next skill, what can be skipped because it is already solid, and how their musical goal should change the route.

01

Exact instrument foundations

Your starting path fits the instrument you actually play: guitar fretting and fretboard control, piano hand coordination, drum rebound and rudiments, wind tone production, banjo right-hand style, bowed-string intonation, and more.

02

Music theory and general music knowledge

Rhythm, ear training, intervals, harmony, dynamics, phrasing, and musical awareness can strengthen the musician across instruments without pretending every instrument uses the same physical technique.

03

Goal-specific branches

The route can branch toward the music the player actually wants to make. A metal guitarist may need different scale language and picking control than a singer-songwriter, while bluegrass and clawhammer banjo require different right-hand foundations. Optional Songwriting Foundations can connect a lyric, theme, groove, chord, or melody to the same practice room without blocking the normal path.

04

A living next step

Saved goals, instrument profiles, Foundation progress, guided lessons, repertoire, and measured Skill Tree evidence can all influence what P.A.C.E. recommends now, next, and later.
